Specifications include, but are not limited to: Perform a planning study for improved public safety, better access, and to develop pedestrian and bicycle transportation options. The study shall include analyzing current traffic flow along with pedestrian and bicycle traffic within three locations of City roadways that cross 1-10 and I-110 and to determine the safest and best locations for overpasses. The study will integrate Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) requirements for pedestrian bridges, the height, and length of pedestrian bridges within interstate R-O-W, lighting on bridges and how bridges may affect existing Interstate signage. The study will consist of preliminary environmental screening of potential locations and shall include public outreach and interaction for a complete and comprehensive study.
