Specifications include, but are not limited to: Tree Removal 1. Care shall be taken to prevent limbs, branches, and trunks from falling and causing damage to adjacent homes, driveways, sideways, sidewalks, streets, and other property, both public and private. 2. Limbs and branches larger than four (4) inches in diameter shall be lowered to the ground by the use of ropes or their mechanical devices. 3. Logs, brush and debris resulting from the tree removal operation shall be removed from worksites by the end of each workday, unless otherwise directed by the City. 4. Prior to any trees being removed, the City will mark the trees at the locations. 5. Disposal of logs brush and debris shall be the responsibility of the Contractor, unless otherwise directed by the City. 6. Contractor will notify city of any trees or root flares found to be in conflict with existing sidewalks. Stump Removal 1. The Contractor is responsible for grinding stumps and root flare to a depth of 6 inches below grade. 2. Chips and residue can be returned to the hole. The area shall be crowned at least two (2) inches above surrounding grade to allow for settling and shall be raked smooth. 3. The Contractor shall restore any damaged turf and grades to their original condition. 4. At the discretion of the City, the Contractor may be required to supply topsoil and reseed the stump ground area...
