Specifications include, but are not limited to: install the new 24-2 well, outfit the new well per plans and specifications and to connect the well to the water line that runs from existing 24-1 well to the storage tank on the same property. The new 24-2 Well has been drilled and cased on the existing 24-1 wellsite. Well 24- 1 is still operational but operates in a debilitative state and will be taken out of service at some time in the future. The contractor will supply all materials, supplies, parts, labor, and equipment to complete the job in a timely manner with minimal disruption to water service. The contractor shall plan the modifications to the existing 24-1 well piping and modification to the wiring such that down time is minimized to 1 occurrence of 4 hours or less. Coordination with the water system manager will be required for any shutdown. The contractor will complete the concrete well pad and base around the new well casing. The contractor will set the well pump, column piping, vertical shaft, discharge head, vertical 250 HP hollow shaft motor, and related above ground 10” piping and accessories. The contractor will modify the existing 24-1 well piping to accept a 10” wye fitting and two gate valves. The contractor shall trench and install the 10” underground piping between the two wells. The contractor shall trench and install a 1” PVC and a 3” PVC electrical conduit underground between the existing control pad per the electrical drawing. The contractor will install the transfer switch and wire per the electrical drawing. The contractor will supply and install an equivalent flow meter in the existing flow meter location. The contractor will supply and install a line shaft oil lubrication system and oil drum with stand. All items in the plans and specifications not specifically included in this scope are to be assumed to be provided by the contractor. Prior to contract completion, the contractor shall demonstrate the operation of the well to Bullhead City Utilities maintenance staff and provide a flow measurement at the existing flush port to verify accuracy of the new flow meter.
