Specifications include, but are not limited to: This bid is for the sole task of excavating, sheeting and preparing for the foundation. It has been assumed with a type C soil that a sloping of 1 to 1.5 will be needed. Due to the live nature of the expected soil/sand conditions, it is expected that some temporary sheeting may be required, thus impacting a portion of the northerly lane of Mast Road, in the vicinity of 271, which is the City’s Public Works Facility. This will require the temporary establishment of alternating one-way traffic, using portable traffic control signals and the installation of temporary stop-bars. The contractor must supply temporary traffic signals for both ends of the work zone for the duration of the alternating one-way traffic pattern that will be in place. The City expects that duration to be approximately 6 weeks. The City has already procured and will provide 17 jersey barriers, each 10-foot in length, for the temporary traffic disruption narrowing Mast Road done to a single lane. While the City will provide the concrete barriers, the successful bidder will be responsible for properly setting and placing the barriers.
