Specifications include, but are not limited to: Fire Suppression Testing: A. Weekly Testing: 1) Contractor shall perform testing of the fire pump well to include checking the fluid level, starting fire well pump test and run for ten (10) minutes. Contractor to ensure bleeder valve is adjusted while pump is in operation. 2) Contractor shall inform site contact immediately of any deficiencies. 3) Contractor shall provide log sheet to be kept hanging in conspicuous place so technician can sign once testing is completed. B. Annual Testing: 1) Contractor shall perform water flow test to ensure pump is operating at its maximum potential. 2) Contractor shall inspect and test all tamper switches, control panel, batteries, power supplies. 3) Testing shall be scheduled in advance with On-site Facility Contact. 4) Test results to be sent to California Highway Patrol headquarters Facilities Coordinator listed on contract. Fire Sprinkler Inspection/Testing/Maintenance: A. Maintain UL certification of “fire extinguishing system(s) identified in Health and Safety Code Section 13195, and shall incorporate by reference NFPA 25, Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection System (2013 edition), including Annexes A, C, D, and E, as amended by the Office of the State Fire Marshal”. B. Test and inspect fire system devices annually, including functional tests. Quarterly inspections to be performed on flow switch on riser, per NFPA 25. Testing to include load test on battery. C.
