Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Rhode Island is considering issuance of a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) from qualified vendors for modernization of the Integrated Eligibility-Health Insurance Exchange Systems (IE-HIX). The current IE-HIX, RI Bridges, is a complex system which was built on behalf of EOHHS, DHS and HSRI. The goal of the project was to develop a fully integrated system with business rules capable of determining eligibility for a spectrum of health and human service programs and to provide customers with timely and accurate access to benefits and programs for which they are eligible. The system administers benefits to over a third of Rhode Islanders each year and includes the administration of the State's key benefit programs and health insurance marketplace coverage.
