Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.00 - Specifications of Service Requirements Emergency repair and/or replacement of the various mechanical and electrical components and Engineering Service for pump stations in Jefferson County. Jefferson County pump stations are located at: (1) Breckenridge Lane at the Southern Railroad Overpass (2) Seventh Street Road near Barry Boulevard (3) River Road at I-64 Westbound Ramp from I-71 Southbound. 1.01 – Routine Work Routine work shall commence within one (1) calendar day of notice from the Department, and shall include, but is not limited to, periodic inspections, services, cleaning, and repair to components within pumping stations. 1.02 – Emergency Work Emergency work shall commence within four (4) hours after verbal notice by the Department. This may include overtime hours for the repair of critical components. For purposes of definition, critical items are those which, when not performing properly, fail to prevent flooding of the traveled roadways at the pump station location. Failure to be fully mobilized to the project site within four (4) hours shall result in an assessment of $500.00 damages for each hour vendor fails to provide service. 1.03 – Materials Department Representative shall approve all material purchases prior to their purchase. Contractor shall provide all suppliers original invoices for materials used in the repair, replacement, and maintenance. Department reserves the right to specify material or replacement equipment with “no substitutions” and the Engineers decision shall be final. 1.04 – Responsibilities Contractor shall familiarize himself with and shall at all times comply with the federal, state and local laws, ordinances, and regulations which in any manner effect the services of this agreement. Contractor shall be responsible to provide the Department with written proof that all Entrants/Attendants/Supervisors into Permit Required Permit Confined Spaces have been trained and have proper Safety equipment necessary for compliance with each individual permit site. The Department reserves the right to cancel any open permits and stop all work until necessary adjustments are made for such compliance as outlined in the permit. Contractor shall also be responsible for any Traffic Control necessary to carry out repair activities in accordance the MUTCD. Contractor shall be required to keep the job policed and clean at all times. Rubbish and trash shall be cleaned out and removed daily and the premises kept in condition satisfactory to the Department Representative. 1.05 – Tools and Equipment The Contractor at no additional cost to the Department shall furnish tools and equipment needed to perform services.
