Specifications include, but are not limited to: Collection Proposals should include all equipment, supervision, materials, labor, and all other items necessary to complete the collection of all residential and small commercial (up to one and one-half (1½ ) cubic yards per week) residents in the unincorporated areas of Wilkinson County, Mississippi, once a week. The proposal shall be submitted for a term of three (3) years beginning October 1, 2024. The proposal shall provide that the County, at its sole option, shall have the option to extend the contract in one-year increments up to three (3) additional years. Permitted holidays shall be New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, but observance of such holidays does not relieve the Collection Contractor of its obligations to provide collection service under the contract at least one day each week to all residents upon a rescheduled collection day determined by the Collection Contractor. Collection should occur only Monday through Friday and only between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The Collection proposal should also include providing one eight cubic yard dumpster at the courthouse in Woodville; one eight cubic foot dumpster at the County industrial Complex; and two 8 cubic yard dumpsters at the Sheriff’s Office and the weekly collection and disposal of the solid waste therein.
