Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of work is to conduct a comprehensive classification and compensation study and analysis for all positions in the employee groups and to provide recommendations to address any anomalies within current pay structures; review market study analysis yearly; determine grade classification for all newly created positions and/or those with significant updates/changes on an ongoing basis; and provide annual market rate information. The County’s objectives are to: a. Attract and retain qualified employees. b. Ensure positions performing similar work with essentially the same level of complexity, responsibility, and required knowledge, skills, and abilities are classified together. c. Provide salaries commensurate with assigned duties. d. Provide benefits commensurate with comparable government agencies. e. Clearly outline promotional opportunities and provide recognizable compensation growth. f. Provide justifiable pay differential between individual classes. g. Maintain a competitive market position with other comparable government entities and private employers within the same geographic areas.
