The NC Department of Adult Correction seeks to enhance its existing camera infrastructure with AI capabilities to significantly bolster facility security. This project aligns with its strategic goal to strengthen safety and security at all NCDAC facilities. The AI-enhanced camera system will utilize advanced technologies to provide real-time threat detection and behavioral analysis, thus enhancing the overall security infrastructure and operations. The key objective of this project includes the enhancement of existing high-definition cameras at Correctional Facilities by adding AI software that can detect and analyze threats in real-time. Additionally, comprehensive training programs will be provided to staff to ensure proficient operation and maintenance of the new system.
