Specifications include, but are not limited to: Fayette County Public Schools in Lexington, Kentucky is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified consultants, organizations, and research institutions to develop a comprehensive African American Student Achievement Strategic Plan. This strategic plan aims to address the academic and socio-emotional needs of African American students, to promote equity and excellence in education, and to create experiences within the district that affords every African American student the opportunity to reach their unlimited potential. Despite various efforts across our school community, African American students often face significant disparities in educational outcomes. These include lower graduation rates, higher disciplinary actions, and limited access to advanced coursework and enrichment opportunities. Addressing these challenges requires a strategic, data-informed approach that involves educators, families, and communities. Our organization is committed to creating a strategic plan that will guide our efforts to ensure our vision, mission, and values are realized within our African American student population. The objectives of the African American Student Achievement Strategic Plan are: • To identify and address barriers to academic success for African American students. • To enhance educational opportunities, experiences, and support systems for African American students. • To improve engagement and partnership with African American families and communities. • To build the capacity of educators and staff to support African American students effectively. • To establish measurable goals and metrics for tracking progress and outcomes.
