Lab Architectural & Engineering Services IDIQ Contracts Statement of Need Georgia Institute of Technology requires the services of Laboratory Architectural & Engineering firms (Consultant) to supplement its in-house capabilities to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of installed building systems. This category includes consulting services to design new or renovated innovative administrative and academic learning environments in existing Georgia Tech buildings. Georgia Tech Infrastructure & Sustainability – Office of Planning, Design & Construction (OPDC) will provide to the Consultant a scope of work, and preliminary floor plans for the project work area. The Consultant will prepare and deliver to OPDC traditional architectural and engineering construction documents, engineering calculations as required as well as provide construction administration services. Design of information technology, audio visual, and network systems may be performed in-house by Georgia Tech and integrated by the Consultant into the construction documents. To this end, Consultants will be chosen for a one-year term, with the possibility of (2), oneyear renewals, to be open-ended service providers. This Consultant will be on call to provide consultation and design services on an as-needed basis. Typically, work required may be a part of a larger renovation project or may be the primary goal of the project.
