South Jordan Recreation Center is a 66,200 SF facility constructed in 2002 and became part of Salt Lake County’s Parks & Recreation system in 2020. It has been determined that a lap lane pool is needed to meet the demands of the local high school and community. The scope of work for this project includes construction of an addition for a new lap lane pool, restrooms, and space for utilities and equipment. This addition will be built off the southwest corner of the existing building within the existing lawn space adjacent to the existing pool structure. Existing amenities within the facility include a gymnasium, fitness room, indoor track, aerobics room, dance studio, and indoor leisure pool. It is anticipated these amenities will see little to no disruption during construction of the new addition. The existing facility plans to remain open for regular business during construction.
