Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Vermont Household Health Insurance Survey (VHHIS) has been completed periodically since the early 2000’s and is used to monitor the health insurance coverage status of the Vermont population. This includes the collection and analysis of data on health insurance coverage sources, demographics, income, employment, health status, affordability of insurance and financial barriers to care. Results from past surveys have been used to measure impacts of options for health insurance coverage expansion in Vermont, inform, design and outreach for state-sponsored insurance programs for the uninsured, and to monitor impacts of employer-sponsored insurance, premium cost, cost sharing and benefit design on access to insurance and care.
