Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Solicitation is to establish contracts for Tree Thinning, Tree Removal and Woody Vegetation Removal by Mechanical Mastication, Hand Crew Lop and Scatter, Mechanical Grubbing and Herbicide Application by hand for the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD). This Solicitation is to establish multiple contracts for multiple locations for Services on an as-needed basis across the State of Arizona. Junipers, mesquites, and occasionally other tree and shrub species will be targeted to create and restore movement corridors and habitat for grassland obligate species; such as pronghorn antelope, Gunnison’s prairie dog, and American badger, or to stimulate browse release for mule deer and elk. Tree removal methods will vary by site and may include: mechanical removal (typically mastication but similar mechanical methods may be considered if prescriptions can be met), hand crew lop and scatter (using chainsaws), mechanical grubbing, and in some cases, herbicide application by hand. Site-Specific locations and project details (such as detailed treatment prescription) will be provided upon request for subsequent project-specific quote requests. The intent of this Solicitation is to determine “Not-to-Exceed” pricing.
