Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Soft Armor Ballistic Vests must be adjustable to allow for “one size fits all.” B. Vests must meet NIJ HG2 specification (capable of providing protection from multiple .44 Mag JHP rounds, formerly NIJ IIIA), and supplier must provide documentation detailing what type of testing has been conducted on the vests with bid submittal. C. Coyote color – required for agency identification. D. Velcro identifier patches to read “Gwinnett Fire & EMS” on front and back of vest. E. Awarded supplier must supply serial numbers and manufacture dates of vests and ballistic inserts in an Excel spreadsheet upon delivery of goods. F. The quantity listed in the Bid Schedule is approximate and may or may not be adjusted based on the allocation/availability of funds. G. Unit price shall include all associated fees, including but not limited to shipping and delivery. H. The use of brand name is not for restrictive purposes or to limit competition, but to assist suppliers in determining the standard of quality Gwinnett County is seeking. It is understood that items matching or exceeding the quality level are also acceptable. Gwinnett County shall be the sole determinant of acceptability of all approved equivalents. It is the supplier’s responsibility to prove equivalent products match or exceed the quality level of the product(s) specified.
