The Delaware State Police Aviation Section is a competent, professional organization employing extremely talented and experienced pilots operating state of the art rotorcraft, performing multi-mission operations but primarily Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services and Rescue. However, even with the talent and experience the Section has, quality, challenging, relevant and current training is mandatory. Several of the pilots in the Section directly attribute their previous annual training sessions for giving them the skills and abilities to survive (and save their passengers/crew) from what would have been a catastrophic incident. For this reason and the others listed below, the Delaware State Police Aviation Section seeks the best commercial pilot training available for its personnel to enhance their knowledge, abilities and skills related to the operations of Bell 429 Helicopters. Historically the Delaware State Police sends between 16 and 18 pilots to training on an annual basis. This statistic is offered for information purposes only and is not to be interpreted as guaranteed usage of the contract. While the scope of services addresses a historical Delaware State Police need, as a central contract, this contract will be available to all State Agencies, School Districts, Municipalities, and Fire Departments. Scope of services for aircraft other than that specified within Appendix A can be added through mutual amendment to the contract or awarded through a supplemental solicitation.
