The County is seeking to replace existing nonfunctional turf and high-water usage landscape throughout the Facilities and Campuses with minimalistic xeriscaping design that conserves water, is drought tolerant, and low maintenance (referred to collectively hereafter as the “Project”). The main focus will be park strip areas, turf areas less than 8’ wide, and sloped areas. The Project may also include other nonfunctional turf and high water usage areas to save and conserve water at the Facilities and Campuses. The County desires to contract with a professionally licensed landscape contractor (the “Contractor”), experienced in construction of xeriscaping to help the County achieve low water use landscaping specific to Utah’s climate and environment. Preference will be given to Contractors with experience replacing existing grass turf landscape with water saving landscaping, irrigation, and plantings, by retro fitting with drought tolerant, low maintenance, and sustainable landscaping.
