Specifications include, but are not limited to: To supply the labor, materials, and equipment specified as necessary to provide forces capable of independently performing earthwork, grading, rip rap placement, and line ditch slope with rock of the facility belonging to the CITY". The Contractor must understand the work is around live energized power facilities, and all personnel of the Contractor must attend training awareness of the hazards associated with working in energized power facilities and wear proper PPE. All drainage improvement work is to be accomplished in accordance with the directions of the designated representative of the CITY. (See Scope of Services attachment). a) Earthwork/ Grading: : The contractor shall be financially and physically responsible for disposing of all soil products resulting from the grading and removal process. The CITY shall supply a location to dispose of inert soil/rock waste. See drawings for soil waste location and how the CITY would like the rock waste utilized inside the Jameson Facility. b) Working in Energized Power Facilities: All work done within the Jameson Energy Center is considered work within an energized power facility. All contractor employees shall wear at least Flame-Resistant (FR)-rated clothing, boots, hardhats, and safety glasses while working within an energized power facility. c) Placement of Rip Rap & Ditch Lining: The Contractor shall exhibit proper installation and placement of all 15" rip-rap material at all inlet and outlet locations on the existing stormwater drainage system. Contractor shall exhibit proper installation and placement of 3"-5" aggregate ditch lining material for all slopes specified at the pre-meeting. See drawings for areas marked as to where the 3"-5" rock and the 1 5" riprap materials are to be placed.
