Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work consists of retrofitting approximately 10,901 manually read meters with cellular-based Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) water meters and associated hardware as described in the Contract Documents, which includes, but is not limited to, the following: Field survey to confirm locations of the existing meters identified for retrofit or replacement and implementation of data gathering software to confirm the quantities and locations of existing meters to be retrofitted or replaced, and meter box lid sizes and quantities required. Retrofit existing meters with a new electronic encoding register and install AMI endpoint for 10,552 meters, size 2” and smaller. Replace existing meters with new AMI water meters (new meter body, encoding register, and AMI endpoint)for 310 meters, size 2-inch and smaller. Retrofit existing large-size meters with a new electronic encoding register and install AMI endpoint for 39 meters, size 3-inch through 8-inch. Install AMI-compatible meter box lids and appurtenances as required for fully functional AMI remote meter reading.
