Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work consists of making improvements to the parking lot that serves the Highland Park Country Club (HPCC) located east of US 41 along Park Avenue West. Improvements include reconfiguration of the lot stalls and drive aisles. The existing pavement will be milled and resurfaced. A CRF seal is called out in lieu of a typical tack coat. New PCC islands are called or in the plans. Also, a new lot (new pavement) is proposed along the northwest end of the lot, close to the existing HPCC building. This includes new stalls and drive aisle drop-off lanes. A new entrance off of Park Avenue West is included in the scope of work. The work in the parking lot will be staged so a portion of the lot remains open to the public. Also, improvements to the existing building by others will occur simultaneously with the parking lot work. Cooperation between contractors is necessary to avoid work conflicts. Park Avenue West will be milled and resurfaced (by others). New pavement markings along Park Avenue West provide a new exclusive left turn lane into the new entrance for the parking lot. Minor landscape restoration with topsoil and sod will be used in this contract. A separate contract in the future will complete major landscape items.
