Specifications include, but are not limited to: Demolition of an existing residence; construction of a new visitor center and maintenance facility; installation amenities such as utilities, paving infrastructure, shelters; and all required related work. The visitor's center will be approximately 5,000 square feet and include lobby, reception area, exhibit/gift area, conference room, offices, restrooms, and storage. The maintenance building will be approximately 2,800 square feet and include three bays with roll up doors, offices, workshop, restroom, and storage areas. Scope also includes open-air shelters, approximately 20 feet by 14 feet. Parking areas will include staff and visitor parking near the Visitor Center for cars and buses. Include small staff/agency parking area at end of private drive at upper portion of park, along with 5-ADA accessible visitor parking spaces. Provide a walking trail between the lower and upper portions of the park. The residence is less than 50 years old and demolition of the existing residence does not require review by the Tennessee Historical Commission.
