Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. The City of Bullhead City is requesting bids for up to 10,000 tons of Type ll Slurry Seal Sand. b. The Contractor’s inventory level of the items bid shall be sufficient to support the City’s requirements. c. A bill of lading must accompany each delivery or pick-up. d. When Slurry Seal Sand is manufactured, it has a magnetic charge and is required to age for at least one month before use. The stockpile of Aged Slurry Seal Sand must be kept separate from newly processed Slurry Sand material. e. Slurry Seal Sand shall be in accordance with M.A.G. Specifications 715.2.2 Mineral Aggregate: Coarse and fine aggregates or approved mineral filler shall be per Section 701. f. The mineral filler will be considered as part of the blended aggregate. g. The material shall be non-plastic (ASTM D-4318) with a sand equivalent (ASTM D-2419) of at least fifty (50) not to exceed sixty (60). h. The abrasion loss (ASTM C-131) shall not exceed thirty-five (35) percent. i. Historical test data from source aggregate may be used that was run within the past two years. j. Mineral aggregates used shall be 100% crushed. No natural sand shall be allowed. k. The gradation of mineral aggregate without mineral filler shall conform to Table 715-1.
