The City of Pomona ("City") is seeking proposals ("Proposals") from qualified firms ("Proposers") for professional services to provide construction support and develop draft and final record drawings for electrical improvements at five (5) potable water production facilities. The objective of this project is to create draft and final record drawings for completed electrical improvements at five (5) water production facilities to replace and upgrade existing electrical equipment that is nearing or has exceeded its end of useful life, is outdated, and is unsupported. Electrical equipment includes motor control centers (MCCs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), general control systems, and interconnections. A certified design-build electrical contractor (Contractor), under separate contract with the City, will complete construction and installation of the electrical improvements. The Contractor will submit construction submittals for review prior to the start of work. The selected firm will support the City’s submittal review process to ensure code compliance, product suitability, and completeness of data in order to prepare a cohesive and full set of record drawings. Record drawings will ensure the City has a complete and accurate representation of electrical improvements at the facilities, which is critical to ongoing operation and maintenance of the facilities and future repairs or improvements.
