Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Specifications include, but are not limited to: In 2019, the City of Surprise issued a solicitation for an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) contractor for the distribution of Radio Frequency Meter Reading Systems, and parts. The resultant contract was awarded to Core and Main LP; through which the City's current meters and equipment were provided and serviced. Core and Main has been replaced by Ferguson Enterprises as the Arizona authorized distributor of Neptune Meters. As the original Agreement awarded to Core and Main was procured through the formal procurement process the resultant Sole Source agreement shall also include the provision for cooperative purchasing. Due to the capability of the City's existing equipment, the City wishes to maintain the equivalent quality and continuity of the meters and metering equipment throughout the City. The City believes that Ferguson Enterprises is the sole authorized provider of such equipment to meet the City's required equipment and operational needs, because Ferguson Enterprises is the sole authorized Level 1 Distributor for Neptune Technology Group. To obtain a Level 1 status distributors must employ a Meter and Reading Systems Specialist that receives yearly training direct from Neptune on all of their products.
