The intersection is experiencing a high frequency of severe right-angle crashes compared to its current volumes. This intersection is currently under two-way stop control, which will show signs of congestion through the design year of 2048. The preferred alternative is the installation of a single lane roundabout to reduce the frequency and severity of right-angle at this intersection, while also improving intersection mobility. This alternative will operate at LOS A throughout the intersection through the design year of 2048.
