Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected firm(s) shall provide Forensic Architecture and Engineering services on an as-needed basis for new, addition, renovation, or remodel projects located throughout the State of California. The basic services to be provided may include, but not be limited to, providing and/or preparing: • Detection, diagnosis, and identification of the cause, effects, and remedy of building and equipment defects and/or failures, • Design and analysis of building structures and components containing concrete, steel, masonry, and wood materials, • Evaluation and investigation of building related environmental complaints or hazards using physical evidence and scientific methods, • Evaluation and investigation of water intrusion and corrosion, • Evaluation and investigation of settlement and material failures, • Analysis of design and construction defects, • Evaluation and investigation of mold accumulation, • Code analysis, • Remediation construction documents, • Construction support, • Design documents (plans and specifications), • Field investigations, observation of work, and project meetings, and • Studies, reports, shop drawing review, as-built drawings, and cost estimates.
