Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Intersection Improvements at W. Water Street, N. Meeting Street: The Contractor shall provide the necessary men and equipment to complete work outlined in the approved NCDOT Encroachment, which shall consist of, but is not limited to: concrete curb and gutter, pavement markings removal & installation, sidewalk concrete driveway connection, signage, seeding and mulching, traffic control within the right of way. All other items of work and incidentals shall be included as a “turnkey” project. The intersection identified will be converted to a 3 way stop in accordance with the approved NCDOT Encroachment. The Contractor shall meet with the NCDoT and City for a preconstruction meeting to go over all aspects of the proposed project. Items to include and get approved by NCDoT is a detour for the work area. The project will be permitted to be constructed during daylight hours. 2. The Contractor shall secure the area around the worksite by use of signs, barricades, and personnel to assure that only authorized personnel will be on the site from the time of the beginning of work until completion. The Contractor shall not leave any part of the work area in a hazardous condition overnight or at any time.
