Packed in a brine solution of water, vinegar and salt. Color should be green to dark green. Aroma and flavor must be characteristic of jalapenos with some heat. Goods ingredients can be grade Fancy, #1, or #2. Jalapeno can be sliced or diced. If sliced, minimum ¼ inch to ½ inch slice on the crosswise. If diced, should be ¼ to ½ inch dice. Jalapeno peppers only – ODOC will NOT accept jalapenos mixed/blended with other peppers. Distressed, Manufacturer Rejects or Salvageable Good(s) WILL be allowed for this quote, “Definitions”. Good(s) Bid by Bidder as “Manufacturers’ Reject”, “Distressed”, or “Salvageable” must be labeled accordingly “Distressed Good” means a Good(s), packaging or container that has been damaged, or label has been defaced, and is unsuitable for retail sale, but which does not change the integrity or edibility of the Good(s). “Manufacturers’ Reject” means an incorrectly manufactured item that fails to meet the Manufacturer quality control standards or that a retailer will not accept to sale, which does not change “Panel Dent” is defined as canned Good(s) with dents, other than along any seam, which does not change the integrity or edibility of the Good(s). “Salvageable Good” means reconditioning or preparing distressed food for sale or use as food, including cleaning, culling, sorting, scouring, labeling, and packaging which does not change the integrity or edibility of the Good(s).
