Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The solution must meet or exceed the overall performance of the legacy systems it is replacing. 2. The solution must enhance the business processes, for example, through a reduction in manual process steps and the elimination of double-keying. 3. The solution’s technical infrastructure must be especially considered. IS must be heavily involved and the solution must integrate seamlessly within the existing technical infrastructure. Consider the impact of the active Document Processing and Management System (DPMS) Project 4. The solution must be extensible. IS must be able to provide maintenance and support; with the ability to enhance the system if and when required. 5. The solution must be reasonably priced to purchase and implement.
