Provide behavioral instructional services and support to special education students in the school setting. The BCBA and RBTs will assist with Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans; maintain required records for progress monitoring; participate in appropriate professional development as requested by the district; engage in ongoing collaboration and provide ongoing consultation with JCPS staff and administrators; and perform other behavior support duties as assigned. They will also assist in the preparation of evaluation reports, progress notes, progress reports, and/or IEPs. Additionally, individuals will participate in IEP meetings and/or parent meetings as requested by the district. Performance Requirements/Specifications 1. Agencies that provide the services of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) will provide appropriate supervision by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. 2. The BCBA and RBTs will be knowledgeable in utilizing the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions intended to reduce, eliminate, or prevent the future occurrence of severe problem behaviors. 3. The BCBA and RBTs will be able to model intervention strategies to manage and modify severe behavior and model teaching functionally related replacement skills and behaviors. 4. Attending parent conferences and/or individual education plan meetings, if invited, to contribute to the educational program of the assigned students. 5. Candidates must be able to provide relevant licenses, certifications and/or credentials as required by the State of North Carolina to practice in the field being offered. 6. In addition to provision of valid certificates, the candidates shall have at a minimum, one year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. 7. If required, complete documentation including Medicaid billing forms.
