Work will include upgrading the entire corridor to a Collector Street standard (34 feet curb to curb within a minimum 60-foot right-of-way including bike lanes and sidewalks). Left turn lanes and pedestrian crossings are proposed at Beverly Avenue NE, Devonshire Avenue NE, and Sunnyview Road NE with a complete replacement of the existing traffic signal at Sunnyview Road NE. Impacts to existing mature landscaping, trees, utilities, and adjacent private property improvements will need to be addressed with City staff and adjacent property owners. Stakeholder coordination will be required with City Public Works Engineering and Operations staff, Neighborhood Associations, the Bond Oversight Steering Committee, and business and residential neighbors.
