Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Assessment of the PPD’s current energy consumption, holistically, as well as by location. 2. Work with staff to create a summation of PPD’s current and past efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. 3. Conduct on-site visits to all relevant locations to assess existing infrastructure, energy usage patterns, and potential for renewable energy integration. 4. Analyze data and information gathered to identify viable opportunities for renewable energy deployment. 5. Evaluate the financial viability and return on investment for each proposed initiative. 6. Consider creative approaches to maximize impact and advocate for renewable energy efforts locally and regionally. 7. Provide recommendations for integrating renewable energy into long-term organizational plans, taking in to account financial sustainability and advocacy goals. 8. Provide list of IRA incentives (both base and bonus incentives) available to non-profits/units of local governments similar to the PPD. 9. Identify other grants and funding streams available that have the potential to work in conjunction with the IRA incentives. 10. Work with staff to identify commodity purchase needs as well as capital project needs to find opportunities for PPD to benefit from the IRA and other grants in completing these purchases/projects (on-site solar, wind, EV charging, purchase of EVs and clean energy equipment, other clean energy technology, etc…).
