Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The location of this site is 1520 Clingman street, Goldsboro, NC 27534. B. A 4” Conduit leaves the 1 st floor data room to hand hole HH 1 outside the building (see site plan drawing on the following pages). Mule tape was installed in the conduit. The mule tape is 547 feet in length (1453 to 2000 feet). Extra 30 feet of mule tape is left at both ends. C. Roll pipe exists between the 2 hand holes (HH1 and HH 2). A mule tape was installed in the pipe. The mule tape is 29 feet in length (1364 to 1393 feet). Extra 30 feet is on each end. D. Inside the 911 Center data room we are recommending using a 4” conduit to the outside hand hole (HH 2). This conduit already contains 2 each 144-strand fiber optic and a mule tape. a. The mule tape is 302 feet in length (1996 to 2298 feet in length). b. Other empty conduits are available but no pull string. You can use one of these empty conduits versus the one mentioned above. E. When installing the fiber in the conduits/roll piping you are required to pull a new mule tape line into these pipes. F. You will install a 60-strand single mode fiber between the DSS/Health data room and the 911 data room. a. DSS/Health data room. i. Inside this room you will leave at least 30 feet of extra fiber that is coiled and fastened to the plywood. ii. You will supply a fiber optic enclosure for 60 strands and terminate the fiber using SC connectors in this room. The enclosure will be mounted to the plywood wall in this room just below the wire management that goes around the room. We prefer a Corning model (you can suggest others) iii. You will ensure the fiber is bonded to the building bond point in the data room. iv. You will ensure the fiber installed in the conduit has a tracer wire installed for locating the fiber between the 2 buildings b. 911 Center i. Upon entry into the room, you will leave at least 30 feet of extra fiber coiled to other existing fiber on the plywood. ii. Then using wire management go to the rack with other fiber iii. Enter the rack at the top and go to lowest fiber enclosure. iv. Terminate fiber on cassettes in enclosure using SC connectors. 1. Existing Fiber enclosure is Corning CCH-04U.
