Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Vendor must provide environmentally safe and humane Canadian goose control service using trained working border collies (or another approved canine breed). • Canines are to quickly and quietly work on land as well as in the water. In order for goose control to be most effective, the geese must be cleared from the ponds. If geese are not cleared from the ponds, they will reenter the grassy areas shortly after the canines leave. The use of kayaks is permitted. • Vendor will visit GTCC campuses six (6) days a week, multiple times a day, when necessary, for maximum effectiveness. The time and days of visits will change according to the habits of the geese. • GTCC will notify vendor twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the application of any chemicals applied to the property under contract. This will include but not be limited to fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. GTCC understands these products may be harmful to the canines. Vendor will suspend its visit for the full 24 hours as required by law after the application of chemicals. • GTCC will register with US Fish and Wildlife for depredation.
