Specifications include, but are not limited to: comprehensively replace the existing rooftop HVAC systems with a centralized zoned system. The upgrades are targeted to incorporate institutional grade chiller/boiler capacity, four large rooftop air handling units, modern VAV technology, and central digital controls. A substantial portion of the secondary room level air distribution infrastructure is anticipated to be reused. The roof membrane will also require repair or replacement to seal penetrations at the locations of the existing rooftop units. The project will also include renovation of up to 15,000 gross-square-feet (GSF) in the building’s central core to incorporate necessary structural support for the new rooftop central air handling units and selectively improve space configuration and function. The renovation creates the opportunity to improve office efficiency to support IT functions and student support uses including an expanded technology helpdesk
