Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Routine service to be performed Semi-Annually. Contractor shall notify the Facility Supervisor or designee of the date and time the service is to be performed one (1) week prior to the actual work. B. Contractor shall provide equipment capable of supplying at least 34,000 pounds of known weight. Known weight shall include at least 20,000 pounds of test weight. C. All work shall be unconditionally guaranteed for one year barring any damage that is outside of the Contractor’s control. The warranty shall become effective when the State approves the completed work. D. Contractor shall take all necessary precautions to protect service locations. Any damage caused by Contractor to State equipment, materials, or other property shall be repaired or replaced by Contractor to the satisfaction of the State at no cost to the State. The State may, at its option, repair any damage and deduct from Contractor the cost thereof. E. Contractor shall take measures to see that all materials left as a result of the work shall be removed. F. After every service the scale pit shall be cleaned of all debris and the debris removed from the CHP facility. The Contractor is entitled to reimbursement for the removal/disposal of hazardous waste materials from the CHP facility. The price for removal and disposal of hazardous waste shall be included in the amount of the service charge, the State will only reimburse the actual amount of the disposal of the hazardous waste. Contractor must include the receipt for disposal of the hazardous waste with the invoice. G. Materials for use in this project shall be the best universal grade products of the types specified as regularly manufactured by the recognized scale manufacturer or as approved by the CHP Facility Supervisor or designee. H. All materials are to be delivered to the job site in the original packages and containers bearing the name of the manufacture and all containers shall be new and unopened. Storage on the premises to be as directed by the CHP Facility Supervisor or designee. Safeguarding and fire protection of materials delivered to the job site shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. I. Contractor must provide a Certificate of Accuracy for required weights traceable to the National Bureau of Standards issued by the State Department of Food and Agriculture. J. Contractor shall conform with Department of Industrial Relations, The Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) better known as Cal-OSHA requirements stated in Title 8, pertaining to confined spaces and entry procedures.
