Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of the City of Eugene to solicit proposals for a contract for the construction of the Suzanne Arlie Park Trails project. In response to a written request, the City will hold a public hearing for the purpose of taking comments on the findings for an exemption from the competitive bidding requirement. The project scope is the construction of a 2-mile extension of the Ridgeline Trail from Mount Baldy to the east side of Suzanne Arlie Park, and further, the development of approximately 12 miles of mountain biking optimized trails for various skill levels. A majority of these trails will be constructed using native soil surfacing and with all riders from experts to beginners in mind. The construction of these types of trail amenities is typically performed by specialty contractors familiar with both the desired trail experiences and methods for constructing durable and long-lasting facilities.
