The State of Oregon, acting by and through its Department of Education, (“Agency”), is issuing this Request for Grant Applications (“RFA”) on behalf of its Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for the implementation of the Latino/a/x and Indigenous Student Success Plan (Latinx) Grant. The 2024-2028 Latino/a/x and Indigenous Student Success Plan grants are being made available to community-based organizations, early learning hubs, providers of early learning services, school districts, post-secondary institutions of education to address the objectives in the Latino/a/x and Indigenous Student Success Plan. The goal of these grants is to support efforts utilizing the strategies outlined in the Plan to address issues such as attendance; chronic absenteeism; early childhood to elementary, middle to high school, and high school to post-secondary transitions; and will include a variety of supports including the involvement of parents and communities across the state in order to assist Plan students to develop a range of knowledge, skills, abilities, and dispositions that will lead to successful student outcomes in educational achievement.
