Specifications include, but are not limited to: After 30 years in service, the original chillers #1 and #2 are near the end of their useful life and in need of replacement. In addition to replacing the chillers, the project will replace the associated cooling towers and begin the construction of a shared and separable cooling tower and condenser water pumping system. This project will construct a portion of the system adequate to support the condenser water needs of the two new chillers. The cooling tower and condenser water system shall be designed to expand as additional equipment is replaced in future projects. The project design and construction effort must do the following: 1. Incorporate solutions that are easy to maintain and provide high levels of resiliency to best serve the campus. 2. Consider future campus plans which will increase connected load. 3. Pursue the best value (Dollars/Ton) in sizing the new chillers. It is anticipated that the sizing will be approximately 2700 tons. 4. Consider and advise on refrigerant options. 5. Consider and advise on filtration systems.
