Specifications include, but are not limited to: * Work scopes will require the awarded contractor to weld, spray weld, bore, sleeve, turn, mill, coat, and paint various types and sizes of municipal equipment. * Mechanical Service capabilities shall include the ability for: * Horizontal milling * CNC turning up to 10" diameter. * CNC milling (horizontal) (reproduction of flange faces, resurfacing bonnets, and valve bodies) * Disassemble and replace bearings on a 1000 h.p. motor (required for blowers) * Shop equipment shall include the capability to store, disassemble, and perform vertical/horizontal assembly of components weighing up to 20,000 lbs. * Shop conditions and building footprint should allow all work to be performed inside the contractor's building and out of inclement weather conditions. * The Contractor must have the ability to load or unload 20,000 lb. components at any time (24-7- 365). * The Contractor must be capable of providing an on-site response to any pump station or treatment facility within two hours of receiving a call from Metro Water Services. * The Contractor shall be a licensed mechanical contractor in Tennessee, with classification MC or CMC (Mechanical Contracting), with a monetary limit equal to $1,000,000 or more. * The Contractor shall have the mobile mechanical service fleet equipment necessary to perform simultaneous mechanical work at a minimum of three locations (Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, and Pumping Stations). The service fleet should include a minimum of three service trucks with cranes and a 15-ton boom truck. * The Contractor shall employ a dedicated Point-of-Contact (POC.) The POC shall serve as the Project Coordinator for mechanical services work and provide monthly project status reports to MWS. This work should be billed under the established mechanical services supervision rate. Projects of exceptional complexity or delivery schedules exceeding 6 months may require additional project management resources as determined by MWS and should be billed under the established mechanical services supervision rate. * The Contractor shall employ a certified crane operator to oversee rigging, removal, and/or reinstallation of large water/wastewater equipment (sluice gates, large submersible pumps, gearboxes, raw water pumps).
