The State’s Solid Waste Program seeks proposals for a contractor with pedagogical expertise to develop, publicize, implement, and evaluate this new School Materials Management Institute with input and support from the State Materials Management Section staff. The State has $120,000 available for this work, which includes up to $35,000 of funding for participating schools’ Action Plan projects. The contractor is responsible for paying for all the course expenses, including the venue, advertising, supplies, instructor time, Action Plan funding, etc. Schools will attend the Institute at no cost. The State welcomes applicants’ expertise as to what programming might be most successful. DEC will have the final say over what is executed.
