Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Cleans and maintains room/building surfaces, appliances, fixtures and furniture in all designated areas and restocks supplies in public/common areas. (Performed by all incumbents). 1. Removes soil linen from bed, remake beds daily. 2. Damp wipes beds weekly with hospital approved germicide. 3. Transports Bio-medical waste to holding areas. 4. Cleans and sanitize restrooms and shower room areas. 5. Sweep and mop hallways, bedrooms, dayrooms, restrooms, lounges. Offices, meeting rooms as directed. 6. Cleans and vacuums office and other carpeted areas as directed. 7. Clean entrances, walk off mats, ledges, glass and remove cobwebs as necessary. 8. Performs high dusting using handheld devices while standing on floor. 9. Cleans assigned areas according to established procedures. Observes all precautions and risk management procedures for cleaning, waste disposal, and chemical use, etc. 10. Completes all cleaning assignments within established time frame and according to department standards. 11. Cleans floors and walls using germicidal cleaning solution where appropriate. Scours and polishes fixtures, and mirrors on a regular basis. Restocks soap, paper and other dispensers as needed. 12. Thoroughly cleans areas assigned i.e., rest rooms, etc. 13. Thoroughly cleans floors, walls, windows, and furniture using appropriate equipment and solutions. 14. Attends to corners, edges and baseboards. 15. Picks up litter and empties trash receptacles on a regular basis. B. Maintains supplies and equipment according to established guidelines. (Performed by all incumbents) 1. Completes supply request forms in an accurate, complete, legible and timely manner. 2. Loads service cart/vehicles and stocks housekeeping closets as needed. 3. Notifies supervisor in a timely manner of equipment and facilities needing repair or replacement. 4. Maintains and operates equipment and machinery properly, obeying all operating and safety instructions. Returns all equipment to appropriate location in a timely manner. 5. Informs housekeeping management of all detected damaged pillows, mattresses or linens. 6. Completes daily written task completion documents and submits to housekeeping leadership. 7. Provides housekeeping service at a level that will display a clean attractive environment.
