Services include but are not limited to the following: • Obtain the necessary inventory data and perform condition inspections and evaluations of existing structures in accordance with the “Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory” (SNBI) based on the “National Bridge Inspection Standards” (NBIS) regulation (23 CFR 650, Subpart C) and Delaware DOT’s “Bridge Element Inspection Manual” (BEIM). • Furnish maintenance of traffic devices, equipment and personnel required for performing inspections. Coordinate traffic control and inspection activities with Delaware DOT Transportation Management Center (TMC). • Obtain right-of-entry permits for inspecting bridges over railroads. • Furnish all personnel and equipment required for performing inspections including under bridge inspection vehicles, bucket trucks, drivers and support personnel as needed. • Provide written and electronic reports in AASHTOWare Bridge Management (BrM) software with color photographs of all pertinent features of existing structures, including elevation views from both sides, approach roadways, structure configuration, and any areas of distress or deterioration. Each report shall be signed and dated by the approved Bridge Inspection Team Leader. • Provide lateral and vertical under clearance sketch sheets for bridges over roadways. • Provide waterway and scour information, including plan and elevation sketches, and scour soundings, for structures over water using the Department’s “Scour Information and Sketch Report”.
