The work will consist of, but is not limited to, removal of existing asphalt sections, overlay of existing asphalt sections on Pitt Street from Schweers Lane to the Pitt Street Bridge Park entrance. Installation of new concrete pad, ADA parking spaces and parallel gravel parking spaces with a ribbon curb. Construction of a sidewalk and ADA crosswalk. Replacement of overhead utilities with underground utilities. Construction of an approved vegetated slope/wall system that can withstand tidal forces. Additional features include construction of a kayak launch, ramp, and a sheet pile wall to be designed and installed by the contractor. The construction time for this project shall be one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from the commencement date in the Notice to Proceed. The scope of work is more completely described in the plans and specifications. Work shall occur during the off-peak season (November to March) to reduce the impact of closure to the public.
