• Perform a 2” asphalt Mill & Overlay to approximately 10,762 square yards of asphalt pavement to the three areas listed in Appendix III Engineering Drawing; • Once the milling is complete perform any necessary patch work before moving on to the overlay; • Final lifts of asphalt shall be congruent and placed in the same lift; • Deposit the asphalt millings in the unfinished parking area to the west of the Maintenance Building; • Restore all paint striping to original condition; • Coordinate work schedule, traffic flow, and asphalt area access with Metro to minimize service and work flow disruptions; • Follow all contract requirements on pages 3-13; • Follow the City of Topeka 2023 Section 7 – Asphalt Standard Technical Specifications as listed in Appendix IV; • Follow all requirements set forth in the City of Topeka Owner Agreement as listed in Appendix V; • Acquire all necessary licenses, certifications, and permits, and payment of fees for same; • Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for satisfactory contract performance; • Hire all subcontractors and ensure their compliance with contractual requirements; and, • Ensure that the asphalt overlay in all areas is ready for use upon completion.
