The California Tahoe Conservancy (Conservancy) is seeking to contract for site security cameras at a former Motel 6 property (2375 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150). The buildings are surrounded by temporary construction fencing. The contractor shall install and maintain mobile camera stations to monitor the site. A site plan must be provided to the Conservancy prior to installation. Mobile camera units shall be operational 24 hours per day and promptly activate warning sirens and lights to dissuade intruders. In the event of an incident where sirens, lights, or speech do not dissuade intruders, the contractor must report the trespass to the proper authorities (California Highway Patrol Dispatch (530) 332-1200) or 911 in an emergency (example: fire, life threating situations, etc.). If bears enter the site, the Contractor shall activate lights and sirens to prevent bears from entering the buildings. Incidents, regardless of severity, must also be reported to the project coordinator no later than the next business day. The Conservancy’s project coordinator, Haley Lazar, may be reached for questions at haley.lazar@tahoe.ca.gov or 530-208-8892.
