Specifications include, but are not limited to: I. End posts and line posts End posts will be 2-7/8 tuff 40 galvanized steel. End posts will be at least 2” taller than top rail to allow for rail end and ball cap. Line post will be 2-3/8 tuff 40 galvanized steel. All posts will be set in concrete no less than 18” under existing surface. II. Top Rail The Top rail will be 1-5/8 galvanized steel w/swedge end. III. Chain link The chain link will be 9-gauge 6’ foot wire. IV. Tension Wire The tension wire will be 9-gauge. Tension wire will only need to be placed on the bottom of the fence. V. Fence Ties and Hog Rings Fence ties will be 11-gauge steel tie wire Fence ties will be tied every 6 diamonds and every 6 weaves throughout. The hog rings will be attached to chain link and tension wire every two feet throughout. VI. Additional Fittings and Hardware All additional fittings and hardware will be included, will match corresponding parts, and will be industrial grade (Tension bars, Tension bands, Rail ends, Rail end clamps, Eye tops, Ball caps, etc.) VII. Concrete Mow Strip The mow strip will be 18” wide and 4” thick and will run full length on the fence. Contractor shall furnish, install, and compact 4” of road base beneath mow strip before pouring concrete. The top of mow strip shall be flush with finish grade. Edge of mow strip shall not encroach on to the neighbor’s property. Post will be set in 4” clear from the edge of the mow strip from property line side VIII. 6 Foot Hinge Gate Hinge gate will be made of 1-5/8 galvanized steel. Hinge gate will have 9-gauge chain link attached with steel tie wire. Hinge gate hinges will be industrial grade. Lockable drop latch will be included and will be industrial grade. Gate size will depend on opening, property lines, stairs, walkway.
