The City of Madison seeks proposals to provide annual one-hour mental health wellness check-ins for approximately 604 staff members (both sworn and civilian) of the Madison Police Department (MPD). Attendance at the wellness check-ins is mandatory for employees, but participation is voluntary. The check-in sessions are intended to introduce employees to proactive strategies and resources related to mental health, resiliency, family support, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug abuse (AODA), mindfulness, self-care, and other common stressors. The ideal provider/agency will be capable of accommodating employees who wish to continue personal services beyond the scope of this Request for Proposals (RFP) after their wellness check-in. Additionally, the provider/agency should be capable of accommodating employees who wish to continue seeing the same clinician in future annual check-ins.
