Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2.1 Contractor must furnish all equipment, labor, and supplies needed to perform the Contract Requirements as specified at no additional cost to the State. 3.2.2 All employees operating snow removal equipment on State property must have in their possession a valid State driver’s license. 3.2.3 Contractor must be responsible to monitor weather conditions and respond in accordance with the Bid Requirements for snow and ice removal at the WVH-UG campus 24-hours a day for 365 days a year. 3.2.4 Contractor must not allow more than one (1) inch of snow to accumulate in any WVH-UG designated snow plowing surface area as defined in Appendix 2 Building and Campus Site Maps of this RFB. 3.2.5 WVH-UG will not pay for snow plowing if less than one (1) inch of snow has fallen. 3.2.6 Contractor must respond with a confirmation callback within one (1) hour to WVH-UG authorized personnel after receiving a request for snow and ice removal services. 3.2.7 Contractor will be responsible for removal, salting and/or sanding of all ice, sleet, and hail, to provide safe and slip free surface as defined in Appendix 2 Building and Campus Site Maps of this RFB. 3.2.8 Contractor must never pile snow into handicapped stalls, access aisles, or ramps. Snow must be piled into the areas designated for snow storage on the maps provided by WDVA. 3.2.9 Contractor must apply salt or sand to provide safe surface conditions without creating tracking of these materials into buildings, onto lawns, and near sites with other vegetation. 3.2.10 Fire hydrants, sprinkler feeds, and standpipes must be kept clear of accumulated snow. The Contractor will maintain unrestricted access to these utilities for facility and emergency personnel.
